To be the best we must achieve the best results possible for both buyers and growers. And to do that we ensure we understand the unique interests and plans you have.

Once we understand your interests, we can leverage our market expertise and know-how as well as our extensive networks and confidently achieve the best result we can for you on each and every transaction.

Leading our A-team is Fabian Devereux, and man with more than 15 + years of industry experience and relationship development.

Fabian is also a co-founder of Rise Agri, a group of industry leaders providing expert marketing support to a large network of growers and buyers in Australia. Members regularly contribute industry knowledge via media channels including radio and print publications.

Fabian has been working in grain and commodities markets for over 15 years. In that time he has established a reputation as an honest expert broker.

Fabian has developed a large pool of buyers and sellers throughout the Mallee and Wimmera regions, and this network is steadily growing both in relationships and geography.

Fabian thoroughly enjoys supporting his growers to develop robust marketing plans each season. Equally, he is always ready to accommodate one-off transactions.

A trusted name in the agricultural sector, you will often find Fabian sharing news and insights on the local ABC radio and other news outlets as an industry commentator.

No matter where you are up to in your thinking you can be confident that Fabian is always ready to take your call, have a chat, and provide advice where he can.

Mandi Davies

General Manager

Mandi has extensive experience as a modern marketer, having run her own agency for many years. Her expertise is now being applied to our desire to become the first-choice brokerage for growers and buyers across the eastern states.

Mandi believes that to be the first choice we simply must be the best on every level. She is passionate about service standards and meeting the expectations of growers and buyers.

Always mindful of direct competition, and the broader competitive forces driving change, such as digital technology, Mandi ensures the business stays match-fit.

Mandi is proud of the work the Grainwise team is producing and is committed to strengthening the relationships the team has with growers and buyers alike.

Matthew Manning

Commodity Account Manager

Matt has been in agricultural transport for over 20 years. There is virtually no commodity that he has not managed the logistics on, but by far the bulk of his experience has been in grains, fertiliser and other commodities.

Matt also knows the eastern states extremely well. From Millmerran to Mudgee, the Malley to Mundulla, Matt knows all the major crops, storages, and ports – he knows how the grain should flow.

Similarly, Matt also knows many people and maintains excellent relationships with growers across the country. These relationships and knowledge are a form of market intelligence that can’t be created any other way and is one that buyers find most valuable.

Alice loves logistics. And she excels at it. She has a mind for data, planning, and coordination. We are thankful for it.

Alice joined the team in 2023 and immediately started adding value to our operations. She has already had four years in logistics management and knows that details cannot be left to chance.

Customer service comes naturally to Alice and, with current study underway in logistics and leadership, Alice is determined to keep on developing her professional skills and natural talent.

On a personal level, Alice finds it rewarding knowing that her expertise is taking the worry and stress away from farmers. She also contributes to the friendly family feel we have in the team.

Sharn Brander

Administration & Accounts

Anchored in accounts and administration, Sharn’s role touches every dimension of our business, and she has a natural talent for spreadsheets and paper trails.

Sharn is also responsible for the onboarding of new growers and buyers, who are a vital element in our value chain.

With a background in administering a gymnastics club, and with formal qualifications in business, Sharn’s surefootedness and sense of balance ensure our cartwheels don’t collapse, and our handsprings have us landing on our feet.
